My mom is not the biggest fan of the animals that live in her house. She loves bringing them in to her house, and she loves taking care of them if they are sick or hurt, but if she happens to see one of the family pets enjoying itself a little too much sitting on the couch watching tv that pet better watch out.
One of her biggest pet peeves was when we would feed the animals on regular dishes. If she saw a bowl on the floor with traces of cat food in it she would pretty much flip out.

I finally went shopping for myself this week. As the weather has turned cooler and I have been going through my winter wardrobe - I am just bored of my clothing. Also, many of the winter tops I have are dressy since I wore them to work before I had Kage. They really aren’t the type of clothes I am going to wear day to day as a stay at home mom. So, I decided to hit the thrift stores in search of some new clothes.
My first shopping trip resulted in this amazing find!! I scored this BCBG long denim coat for $15. The jacket looks brand new. The only flaw I can find is that the belt is missing. Let me start by saying I don’t enjoy Halloween. I have always been afraid of the dark, and as a kid, going door-to-door in the pitch-black made me nervous. After a run-in with a live person posing as a dead one, then springing to life in front of me while I reached out to ring a doorbell, THEN having my dad yell at me because I was too terrified to leave the safety of his side, I am officially a Halloween scrooge. I noticed my reading vision was deteriorating slowly but surely over the last three months. I was making up words to hymns and songs during church since I couldn’t read my cheat sheet…hmmm…
And then at work… I was mixing up 3s, 5s, 6s, 8s and 9s. Not good for someone who has to be accurate with numbers all day long.
Not good at all. So I tried wearing reading glasses to make my right eye do all the reading work while my left eye went to the beach or something. By the end of the day, neither eye was wanting to work right.
