In the afternoon on September 1, 2006 Kurt was out walking our dog Kane (RIP) and Kane noticed something in the lawn. A newborn squirrel, eyes still closed, with no hair, had fallen out of our pine tree. With the help of a local rehabber we had Snickers for the next year and then released him on October 6, 2007, and then brought our new puppy, Maddie, home on the same date, in the evening. Snickers still roams about our backyard and neighborhood with his buddies. We fell in love with that little critter. I still miss him falling asleep snuggled on my chest while I watched t.v. He is such a sweetie!
